Postdoctoral researchers

I came to Spain with the intention of deepening my knowledge in the olive oil sector. I have done a master's degree in olive growing and olive oil technology, then I obtained a PhD degree from the URV in this group together with the Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries (IRTA) and I work in the chemical analysis of olive oil. Currently, I have obtained a Margarita Salas grant to carry out a postdoc in Italy (Università degli Studi di Perugia).

Once I finished my studies as Chemist, I decided to complement it with formation in enology. When I discovered this research group in analytical chemistry at the Faculty of Oenology, I was very interested in being part of it, as it united my two passions. First I did the Master Final Project in Fermented Beverages and now the Doctoral Thesis.

Predoctoral researchers

Degree in Chemistry and a Master's Degree in Olive and Olive Oil. I am specialized in olive oil technology and an expert taster. I came to Tarragona to work at the Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries (IRTA) and so I got to know the Catalan olive oil-producing areas. This gave me the opportunity to join the iSens group to do my doctoral thesis on the aromas of olive oil and their relationship with the descriptors of the different Protected Designations of Origin recognized in Catalonia.

Graduated in Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country, later on I studied a Master in Chemistry and Polymers at the same university. In my educational process, I have been interested in analytical chemistry and especially in chemometrics applied to spectroscopy. Therefore, the position offered by the iSens group to pursue a doctoral thesis on the subject seemed a perfect opportunity to advance doing what I like.
